The City of Gastronomy and Wine
Opened in 2022, the International City of Gastronomy and Wine celebrates French gastronomic dining in a renovated former hospital. Exhibitions, cellars, cooking workshops and tastings make it an ideal place for an original date: you taste, compare and laugh at your discoveries. A delicious way to break the ice.
Along the Route des Grands Crus
South of Dijon begins the famous Route des Grands Crus, which runs through wine villages with prestigious names. The climats, vineyard plots precisely defined over centuries, are a UNESCO World Heritage site. A bike or car ride among the vines, with a tasting in a cellar along the way, makes for a date you will remember.
Lake Kir and the Arquebuse Garden
For some fresh air, Lake Kir, west of the city, offers walks, picnics and swimming in fine weather; it is named after Canon Kir, who also gave his name to the famous aperitif. In the city centre, the Arquebuse Garden and its botanical garden invite a peaceful stroll. On Lyad, members from Dijon share their favourite tables; it is up to you to find someone to raise a glass with.
